Autodesk data management server console

This morning I finished off installing Inventor and then installed Vault Client and Vault server programs without any snags. Upon finishing installing Vault Basic Server it detected a database and asked for a migration, in which I chose "Run later".

As you may see in the attached print screen, there is a vault og about 8,61gb present in the total file store. I was not able to detach og delete the master vault.

Not sure if that is a good thing, but I imagine that doing a restore will fix it all and that is why I tried. It is also a clean install and I can not mess it up.. I hope. If the file store error I get when I try and restore my Vault Basic client server is correct, I can see that from the total of 8,61gb in the file store.

Can I manually delete it? Should not the restore overwrite any file store? Just for kicks, I tried to restore from an older backup in case there was a snag with the last backup. Same error. I get the feeling that this is really a small easy fix, but just me messing about with the wrong language or interpertation og the system If you can open the console then you can try restoring your data by manually attaching it - right click where it lists 'Vaults' and choose 'Attach' - although from the screenshot it appears that you already have data in your Vault.

Do you need to save this data? I had to browse through the thread and noticed that in message 5 on Wednsday last week that I reported geting "the same error" but the image is from the initial problem before getting the error stated in the OP for this thread. Should we move the thread with a new topic?

As for the issue in the OP, I tried to replicate the initial error but did not succeed. Maybe it has been solved during the clean install? Though I do get the same initial error that later turned in to this thread: "File store not empty".

It was during the online search I came over the problem stated in the OP. I did perform a backup on the stationary work station just now where I had done a clean install of Inventor and vault and then performed a restore directly after.

Both backup and restore worked flawlessly. Attached are some of the ConsoleLog files. If nesseceary, I can upload a few more Log files. I think it's OK to continue work here. If you keep getting the filestore directory is not empty error we can start a new thread. It looks like the restore is flagging the directory here as not empty:. Can you try restoring to another new directory to see if that fixes the issue?

I have seen this error get created on some systems where the directory is completely empty. I think this is due to anti-virus on the system. If you keep getting the error I would do the manual attach from the ADMS console to workaround the error.

It seems to have worked.. First I set up two new locations for both the "Database" and "File Store", manually aimed the restore function to them and managed to restore from the backup file. Then I set up a new folder, just for the "File Store" and chose manually to target the new location for the File Store restore an let the Database stand on default setting. Maybe I have to delete the files in the given path, but that is doable.

If not.. Notice: updates available for Apache Log4j vulnerabilities. See the security advisory on the Autodesk Trust Center for more information.

So cheers for your help. I will have a bit more of a play and see if i can rule out the port 80 shenanigans. Today I added the inbound Port 80 fully open rule and typed in I went into SQL Server configuration manager and checked out a few things.

I have no idea what fixed it. Because i reinstalled vault server as well before messing around with the SQL stuff along with the Port 80 rule. I might go and remove that port 80 rule and see if it stops working. That is all driven by IIS. It also has no accepted solution. So, if you are reading this and do not find the solution in this thread, please check out the link. The solution that worked for me on my vault installation was to review the Site Bindings on the IIS server.

In my case, it was working fine with Port 80 http but then throwing the error when I tried using port https with a validated certificate.

The screen shot I include here shows what my site bindings look like. The https binding has a certificate included, but otherwise everything is blank.

Once this change was made, it worked perfectly with the correct URL for the web client and the desktop Vault client. Notice: updates available for Apache Log4j vulnerabilities.
